30 meter Long Concrete Sculpture by Florentijn Hofman

The Feestaardvarken is a 30 meter long concrete sculpture which has the appearance of a 

 abstracted aardvark with a golden partyhat on. The work is site specific made and was 

 commissioned by Burgers' Zoo. The sculpture is a present from this 100th years 

 anniversary 

 celebrating zoo to the city of Arnhem.

 Hofman's other "big" project that's making headlines these days is a 30 meter long concrete sculpture of an aardvark in Arnhem, Netherlands. Rocking his gold party hat, the red colored aardvark is a site specific work created to celebrate the zoo's 100th anniversary. You can watch the making-of the massive sculpture, here. Love how kids are invited to climb all over this one.
