Bugatti has presented the third model in ‘les légendes de bugatti’, the company’s six-part limited edition collection at this year’s dubai international motor show. based on the veyron 16.4 grand sport vitesse, the ultra luxury ‘legend’ vehicle pays homage to meo costantini – the head of bugatti’s racing team from 1927 until 1935. its 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine produces 1,200 horsepower at 3,000–5,000 rpm and can accelerate from 0–100 km (0 to 62 mph) in 2.6 seconds. The body of the vitesse legend ‘meo costantini’ is primarily constructed of carbon fiber. the wings, doors, the parts behind the doors, corners of the front bumper are built exclusively in aluminium. the special dark blue sport exterior finish on the carbon fiber components references the type 35 and france’s classic motor sport colorway.
