Ice FIshing Festival in South Korea’s
Every year in the month of January, over a million people flock to the quiet town of Hwacheon to participate in the Sancheoneo Ice Festival. Located about 20 km south of the demilitarized zone separating South Korea from North Korea, Hwacheon is one of the first regions in the country that freezes over in winter, and the Bukhangang River is covered with a thick layer of ice.

photos of eastern screech owls in Georgia's Okefenokee Swamp sitting in
holes of trees. Masters of disguise, these owls roost mainly in natural
cavities or in ones that woodpeckers make in large trees.
Photographer Bai Heng-yao captures stunning images of fog as it rolls
across the city of Taipei, Taiwan. His multiple-exposure photos reveal
nebulous clouds and starry expanses illuminated by a surreal color
spectrum. As the sun rises, Heng-yao turns his lens to Taipei's horizon,
to document the smudged pastel rainbow of city lights outlined against
the mountainous terrain.
