Superkilen:Public Park in the Nørrebro With Artifacts From 60 Countries Superkilen is a public park in the Nørrebro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. Designed by the arts group Superflex with the collaboration of BIG architects and a German landscape architecture firm called Topotek1, the park is considered one of the most ethnically diverse and socially challenged neighborhoods in the Danish capital. Filled with objects from around the globe, it is designed as a kind of world exposition for the local inhabitants, covering over 60 nationalities, who have been able to contribute their own ideas and artifacts to the project.

 Shrek a Merino Sheep Who Escaped Shearing for 6 Years Shrek was a Merino sheep, a castrated male, belonging to South Island, New Zealand, who gained international fame in 2004 owing to his gigantic coat of fleece. Shrek became famous after escaping his enclosure and evading the shearers for six years by hiding in caves. Merino sheep are usually shorn annually but Shrek managed to escape the blade for six years straight. When he was finally caught, the sheep was unrecognizable. “He looked like some biblical creature,” said John Perriam, Shrek’s owner.

Located near Yellowknife in northern Canada, the auroras were so incredibly bright that the Korean photographer needed only mere seconds to capture the luminous phenomenon, which is caused when solar winds are pulled into the earth's atmosphere by magnetic force and the sky illuminates with a powerfully mysterious veil of colors that move and flow overhead.

Train to the clouds:World Highest Railways  Located 4,000 meters above the sea level in the Andes, Tren a las Nubes or “Train to the clouds” is one of the highest railways in the world. It begins its journey from the city of Salta, in Argentina, at an altitude of 1,187 meters, passes through the Valle de Lerma, enters the Quebrada del Toro and finally ends its journey at the La Polvorilla viaduct (4,200 meters). During the 16-hour trip, the train travels 217 km and climbs a staggering 3,000 meters. It crosses 29 bridges, 12 viaducts, 21 tunnels, swoops round two gigantic loops and two switchbacks. Train to The Clouds got its name from the numerous clouds that are often seen under bridges and around slopes.

World Largest Salt Flat Cono de Arita in Argentina Near the south border of Salar de Arizaro, the sixth largest salt flat on earth and the second largest in Argentina, 70 km from the village of Tolar Grande, lies a strange volcanic pyramid. An almost perfect cone, it rises unexpectedly in the middle of the salt pan. This is  Cono de Arita  and it looms majestically 122 meters above the Salar. Its name comes from the Aymara language where  Arita  means “sharp”.

Beautiful Island of Gaztelugatxe Gaztelugatxe is a little island situated in the Bay of Biscay just outside the Spanish coast in Basque Country. The island is crowned by a small hermitage called San Juan de Gaztelugatxe dedicated to John the Baptist, that dates from the 10th century, but could be as early as the 9th century. With another small neighboring island, Aketze, they form a protected biotope that extends from the town of Bakio until Cape Matxitxako, on the Bay of Biscay.

The Gerry Judah’s Incredible Car Sculptures Each year, London-based artist  Gerry Judah  creates a massive sculpture in tribute of an iconic car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, an event held annually in Sussex, UK. This year Judah erected a soaring 26 meters sculpture featuring two Mercedes-Benz racing cars – a 1934 Mercedes-Benz W 25 Silver Arrow and a 2013 Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 W04, speeding past each other in midair, connected though a 90 meter steel arch. The sculpture celebrates 120 years of motorsport heritage by Mercedes-Benz.

Amazing Art of Cormorant Fishing Cormorants are a family of sea birds whose diet consist mostly of fish. These birds are masters in fishing – they wait for their prey on sea shores or by the side of rivers, and at the right moment dive underwater, propelling themselves with their wings and feet, and catch fish with their specially designed beaks. In ancient Japan and China, fishermen have learned to keep and train these birds to help them catch fish in rivers. This is known as cormorant fishing or “ukai” in Japan. It is still practiced in select places in Japan, particularly in the Nagara River in Gifu Prefecture, where the ancient art has a long history going back to more than 1,300 years.

The temple is located in a bowl-like depression surrounded by hills covered by azalea bushes. World Tallest Water Slide is Taller than Niagara Falls When the world's tallest water slide finally opens in July it will be, as this first person-angle video shows, be absolutely terrifying.  The Verruckt, meaning insane, will see its riders drop 17 storeys or 168-foot-tall - further down than if they were jumping off Niagara Falls.  The opening date at Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark was delayed for a third time by problems with the conveyor system that transports the rafts punters lay on to the top of the slide - it was originally due to open in May - but the park is confident it will be open for business in July.

Urko Sanchez Weaves Red Pepper House through Coastal Kenyan Forest Located on the island of lamu, in kenya,  urko sanchez architects  has designed and realized the ‘red pepper house,’ a sinuous structure closely linked with its forested context.  a thatched roof rises above the canopy of mangrove trees to announce the residence’s presence, while covering a continuously flowing series of outdoor spaces. the entire dwelling is open to the outside, save for a few enclosed volumes housing the bedrooms.
