Located at a height of 11 meters above the ground, the ‘treehouse halle’ provides an elevated getaway for sleeping and relaxing. completed by german designer office baumraum, the high dwelling is accessed through the residential property’s garage, where a hole has been cut into the roof to allow for the ascent.
beyond, a steel staircase wraps a sturdy oak tree with a curving form, finally reaching a hatch in the structure’s wood deck. the volume’s form is characterized by a curving top, clad in zinc sheeting. multiple windows pierce through the envelope to offer views of the landscape context.

the structure is supported by two steel stilts anchored into the lower part of the tree, and also by a series of steel cables and fabric straps. the interior is occupied by a double sized bed and a window seat, and offers view through five windows, two of which are on the flat sides of the structure, while a third curves to fit the elliptical roof form. the exterior wood deck is accommodates a table and chairs for gatherings.
