Girsu was the first person who introduced the world's oldest bridge with his team in 1877. They used modern techniques of excavation. It is the interesting thing that the French were not interested to follow protocol and did not pay more attention. It is nearly 35,000 to 40,000 tablets were looted from Girsu but only 4,000 tablets that are excavated by the French.The bridge which is located in Girsu, between the modern cities of Baghdad and Basrah. It is the earliest city in the world. It became the capital of Lagash kingdom when it was five thousand years old. It is the sacred place. It discovered many cuneiform tablets with for economic and commercial matters of this city. This bridge is almost 4000 years old and it is made of baked bricks, so it is called the oldest bridge in the world. It is a good place to visit so many people come to see it. This bridge attracts us due to the qualities of the bridge.
